GDPR – General Data Protection Regulations
You will recall I mentioned at the AGM last year that new rules regarding Data Protection come in to force on May 25th this year. Please be assured that:
- We never give your personal information to any third party
- We communicate with you only for one (or more) of these three reasons:
- Matters concerning your care, therapies
- Updates on the Centre eg new staff, new therapies, bad weather
- Fundraising events – it is essential that Fundraising events are supported by Members and their friends & families or the Centre would not be able to function.
We will be updating our privacy statement which will be available on our website.
Formal Notice is hereby given of the next Annual General Meeting of the Kent MS Therapy Centre at 11am on Friday 18 May 2018. Preceded by Katrina’s delicious Tea, Coffee and Cakes at 10.30!
The Agenda is attached and your attention is drawn to the request for any questions to be fielded in advance of the AGM so that a full response can be given at the time. Minutes of last year’s AGM also attached.
The Agenda and Minutes in hard copy will also be available on request at Reception and they will be displayed on the Noticeboard.
New Members’ Trustee
Jill Tompkins is retiring from the Board at this AGM. Along with her Treasurer skills we will also loose her representation of your views. Martin Lawrie has kindly agreed to stay on the Board and our Honorary Minute Secretary Maria Smith is also a Member but Board felt they would like to have as much Member representation as possible.
A job description is available for download below (or available on request from Reception) and letters of application are invited from anyone who is a full Member. Please write to me, care of the Centre, with a letter stating a little about yourself and why you think you would be the right person to represent the views of the Members to Board and to feedback to Members the outcomes of Board discussions.
You will be supported by Board members and receive coaching if required.
With my best wishes and I do hope to see you at the AGM,
Mrs Hilary Brian
Chair of Board of Trustees
