Donna Blackman, from Epple Bay, has been taking part in the Kent MS Therapy Centre’s…
Very sadly our generous Patron, Frank Brake, passed away at the end of last year. His Memorial was held this month and was a wonderful celebration of his life. His support and advice are already sorely missed.
The role of Patron to a charity is important in many ways. Depending on the background and profile of the individual they can support us by:
- Championing us and helping us get media attention
- Attracting visitors and supporters to our events
- Lending us credibility to help attract other potential donors
- Providing help and advice in their area of expertise
So, the search is on for a new Patron for the Kent MS Therapy Centre. Our membership base is a very varied population and I’m sure many of you have links to people that could fulfil the role described above. They might be a local business person, a philanthropist, a health practitioner or a TV celebrity. Maybe with a personal or family link to Multiple Sclerosis. The important thing is that they support our mission and are willing to commit some time and energy to supporting us.
Do you know anyone like this?
If you do, then please get in touch and we can discuss how to approach them.
I must stress that I am looking for people that you have (or may be someone you know has) a personal connection/relationship to, rather than names of famous people that we have no hope of getting access to!
Please wrack your brains and talk to your friends – I look forward to hearing from you!
With kind regards,
Chair of Trustees
