KM Charity Walk
The 2019 KM Charity Walk will leave from the Grade II listed mansion house in Mote Park, Maidstone ME15 8NQ, on Sunday 23 June and will lead walkers on a 10 mile route from the park to beautiful Leeds Castle and back in a loop that takes in stunning views. For those wishing to take on a shorter distance the five mile route you will take on Stoneacre, a National Trust property. Check-in is from 8am on the day with the walk formally starting at 9am. Last check-in is at 10am.
There will be goodie bags and water bottles for participants – and back by popular demand – on your return to the gardens of the mansion house there will be a garden party with a barbecue and live music.
This year a scarecrow competition has been added to the walk, Kent school children are able to take part in the competition.
• You can book by cheque (cheques should be made payable to: KM Charity Walk) but registration is cheaper online. Booking online enables you to select your preferred start time and you will print out your own event pack. Go to www.kmcharitywalk.co.uk or click on the link:
Note: registration of children is free when an adult books online.
• The main walk is 10 miles or there’s an alternative 5 mile walk. Both routes have been selected by Maidstone Ramblers who are once again supporting this important charity event.
• Sponsorship raised by walkers will be divided with a 70-30 split between the Kent MS Therapy Centre and the KM Charity Team’s children’s road safety service.
