Social Enterprise Kent are working on a project called Let’s Get Working which is funded by the National Lottery and the European Union Social Fund. The project covers Thanet, Shepway, Dover, Ashford, Canterbury and all the villages in between. The aim of the project is to help individuals with long term health conditions, disabilities or illnesses contemplate, become ready for, try out and obtain paid work or self-employment referred through social prescribing practices. The team have worked with people with MS as well as various other health conditions. Every aspect of the project is adapted to the person’s needs and abilities.
Hayley Knight, Community Connector from Social Enterprise Kent will be coming along to the Centre to give our Full Members and Associate Members more information on the project on Tuesday 4th September at 11am.
