About our charity

The Kent MS Therapy Centre is the only purpose-built therapy centre that operates six days a week to support people who are living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) from across Kent and Medway. We do this by providing a range of non-invasive therapies and support clinics which help to relieve the symptoms of MS and improve quality of life. The Kent MS Therapy Centre is a small, independent charity with a loyal following of supporters which includes members, event participants, schools, groups and companies.

Our charity has big ambitions and therefore the decision has been made to expand the fundraising team and invest in a new part-time Corporate & Community Fundraiser.

Job description

As Corporate & Community Fundraiser, you will be responsible for achieving  fundraising targets from these communities, building on our existing strategies and adapting to the impacts of Covid-19. You will accomplish this by:

  • Securing new business and community partnerships across Kent and Medway.
  • Managing and developing relationships with existing supporters.
  • Coordinating, managing and executing established community events.
  • Recruiting participants to take on challenge events in aid of our charity.
  • Developing new fundraising initiatives including virtual events and campaigns.

This role is home-based, flexible but there will be a requirement to attend the centre in Canterbury for meetings and events.

We are initially offering a temporary, self-employed contract for 21 hours per week for nine months until 31 December 2021 (contract renewal dependent on performance and funding).

Post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
