A wonderful evening of celebration took place at the Ashford International Hotel on Saturday 1st February to mark the success of reaching our New Building Appeal target of £1.3m!
Many members of the centre, supporters and volunteers who had supported the appeal joined in the celebrations and danced the night away.
Volunteer fundraisers the Kent Butterflies, who helped raise a large amount of money towards the appeal, were presented with the centre’s own individual awards for Outstanding Voluntary Contribution by centre Chairman Tony Meire. The awards were given to Mary Daly who formed and lead the Kent Butterflies, Steph Senior who’s application to many Trusts and Foundations raised a huge amount of money and fellow Kent Butterflies Cathy Beare, Cath Allin, Karen Barfoot, Karen Glass, Deirdre Billing, Denise Hodge,Tim McCarthy, Pauline Pheffer, Jill Lipscombe, Ali Monkley and Keely Spicer. Mary, Keely and Ali were also given Life Time Honorary Membership to the Kent MS Therapy Centre. Web designer, Martin Turner, was also presented with an Outstanding Voluntary Contribution Award for all his support with the design and maintenance of the Butterfly Appeal web page.
KMSTC Chairman Tony Meire said “This is a wonderful occasion and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person who has supported the appeal; Mary Daly, Steph Senior and the Kent Butterflies have been amazing and we are blessed to have had them on board”
